ProConnect™ Tax Online Lauded by CPA Practice Advisor Technology Innovation Awards

For the second year in a row, Intuit® ProConnect™ Tax Online professional tax software has been recognized by CPA Practice Advisor‘s annual Technology Innovation Awards. The awards were handed out at the publication’s annual awards competition on July 25 at the Accounting & Finance Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

ProConnect Tax Online was named an Innovation Award Finalist for its data import functionality, including:

Eliminating manual entry for tax year 2017 for seven of the most common source documents – W-2, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-R, 1099-MISC, 1098-Mortgage and 1098-T.
Allowing tax preparers to now import the data fields from these source documents and apply the data directly to the tax form without manually entering any data. With these new updates, 90 percent of all data fields from these source documents are imported accurately into the tax return with no manual data, which has helped save preparers from manually entering over 244,000 data fields for tax year 2017.

Now in their 15th year, CPA Practice Advisor’s annual Tax & Accounting Technology Innovation Awards have been the pinnacle of recognition for technology vendors serving the tax and accounting profession. The awards recognize outside-the-box thinking in product development, breakthrough technologies, state of the art design and implementation, and cutting edge concepts that help accounting professionals and their clients be more productive and profitable.

The winners of the awards are selected by the publication’s Awards Committee comprised of editorial staff, thought leaders among the profession, and the publication’s Editorial Advisory Board.
